Weigh-In Wednesday - Week 1



Week 1: 146.2lb

21.1lbs to goal.

Wow what a first week, I am so happy with my results thus far. I was good and didn’t weigh myself daily like I typically do and when I saw this number on the scale my eyes popped open. What a pleasant surprise! I’m wearing jeans I haven’t fit since my first trimester with Kenize and I feel great! The funny thing is except for those first two days when I really restricted my diet I really didn’t change all that much from what I was doing before. I’m eating about 1800 calories a day and I worked out 5 times in the last week. Combining healthier choices in food with a little exercise (plus I’m still nursing Kenzie) is showing up in a big way on the scale. I’m right on track to meeting my goal of losing at least 5 lbs by the end of the month. Can I get a Whaa Whaa! In addition to joining Melissa’s Weigh In Wednesday I have also joined Danielle in her 12 Week Weight Loss Challenge. Go Team Badonkadonk Babes! The more accountability the better right? I have also set up my own personal prizes for my weight loss milestones. My gym buddy and I have also decided that for every 1000 calories we burn by exercising we will treat ourselves to a frozen yogurt trip. Yummy! I generally try and keep my prizes non-food related but in this case I’m making an exception. My weight-loss rewards will need to follow the no food rule. I think the picture below sums up why ;)

5lbs: new accessory (ever heard of Charming Charlies? Yeah… Totally addicted to that place!)
10lbs: pedicure
15lbs: new outfit
20lbs: spa day!
25lbs: new designer jeans
How sad is it that after all that work I did to lose 20 lbs in 2010 I never bought my coveted 7 jeans. The reality is I knew I would be getting pregnant again and I didn’t want to invest in jeans that would fit for only a few weeks and then possibly never again. This time around those jeans are MINE! See you next Wednesday!

great job!!! my goal is to fit into some of the twenty or so pairs of designer jeans that I have not worn in over three years. ha ha
